Grab a few days out of the calendar and spoil yourself in the cozy capital of the Faroe Islands, Tórshavn with its charming buildings, the marina, the museums, restaurants and cafes. Enjoy the easy-going life and the unique atmosphere in the ancient part of town. When you enter this part of town and stroll in between the houses, you will experience a jumble of alleys and narrow paths, stairs and cliffs appearing between the small houses with their green grassroofs.

Tórshavn is the smallest capital in the world and one of Europe´s best preserved towns dating back to the 1600´s as it never has been ravaged by fires like most other European cities.

From Tórshavn a lot of excursions are offered - e.g. to the "bird island" only 25 minutes by boat. Public transportation in Tórshavn is free of charge.
