Boat Tour to Vestmanna Sea Cliffs
Via the mountain road to the village Vestmanna where the excursion boat awaits. This is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the Faroe Islands and will take you, weather permitting, through narrow sounds, into deep grottoes carved by the surf through ages, and close to the over 1500 feet high-rise cliffs. On the return to Tórshavn there is a stop at the Viking settlements in the village Kvívík.
Bird Island of Mykines
Full day excursion to Isle of Mykines, also known as the bird paradise due to the rich variety of birds on the island. See at close hand the impressive gannets that only breed on Mykines and the charming puffins with the colourful beaks.
Come along to the island of Hestur, where we will find the magical Klæmints-gjógv, where the world famous cave concerts will be held by Faroese artists. It is truely a unique experience. Every concert is unique, beause of the involvement of nature is changing: It can be so quiet so that you will hear the birds outside the caves, or perhaps the waves will give a completely different sound to the experience.
Tórshavn City Tour
Explore Tórshavn on foot and by bus. Tórshavn is the world's smallest capital, beautifully situated at the foot of the surrounding mountains with a panoramic view of the island of Nólsoy. The town was founded in 825 AD and named after the Nordic god Thor. The tour ends with lunch. After the tour, it is possibel to visit the National Museum of the Faroe Islands on your own.
Cruise with the Schooner "Norðlýsið"
We go on a 3-hour schooner cruise, where we sail close along the coastline to watch the cliffs rising from the sea. We will, off course, stop at the most beautiful places, to give you the best ever photo opportunities. Depending on wind and weather, we usually also have a short stay in Nólsoy.
Visit the Island Vágar. See Tindhólm / Gásadalur
By coach along the mountain road to Norðadalsskarð, where the view of the island of Koltur is indescribably beautiful. On the island of Vágoy we drive through the villages of Sandavágur, Miðvágur and Sørvágur. We stop at the airport, before the tour continues to the beautiful village of Gásadalur with a stunning view of Tindhólmur with the island of Mykines in the background.
Saga Island Sandoy and Kirkjubøur
Day trip to the saga rich island of Sandoy, one of the most unspoiled islands where one can still experience the traditional Faroese lifestyle. Experience a church visit, fantastic scenic views, small villages and bird cliffs. Before returning to Tórshavn we visit the cultural centre of Kirkjubøur. Enjoy packed lunch on route.
Visit the northern part of the island Eysturoy. Gjógv / Saksun
Day trip by coach past the whaling station at Áir to the village of Funningur to see the site of the first Viking settlement. Continue to scenic Gjógv known for its distinctive harbour. En route from Gjógv to the village of Eiði you can see the well known rock formation known as the “Giant and the Old Hag”. See also Slættaratindur (882m), the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands. On the way back, we stop in the beautiful village of Saksun.
Operation of all excursions is depending upon weather conditions. We therefore reserve the right to cancel or alter the operation of excursions if the power of nature should hold us back. We will of course always seek to offer an alternative.
