Various tours from 1 hour to several days and most of them suitable for everyone. Among others we offer tours in the Geysir area, to the amazing lava fields, to Gullfoss, along the canyon and out in the Icelandic wilderness. Equipment can be rented and all tours are led by an experienced guide. Please contact us for prices and booking.
Various tours are offered. The 1 hour tour goes to Haukadalur Forest, through clear rivers up to the hills with views to Langjökull Glacier, Hekla Volcano and Kerlingarfjöll. The longer tours go up to Langjökull Glacier. ISK 12.000 p.p. per hour/2 pax per scooter. Surcharge ISK 3000/hour at only 1 person.
The trained glacier guides will be in charge on this one-hour tour on Langjökull, Iceland’s second biggest glacier with staggering views in clear weather. From here one can see the steep Eiríksjökull glacier, the highest mountain in west Iceland, the dome shaped Hofsjökull glacier and the Kerlingafjöll Mountain range. The right equipment is included the price.
The first swimming pool at Hotel Geysir came about already in 1927 and was renovated during winter 2013 with natural geothermal water, 35 - 40 °C. The indoor hot tub has glass ceilings which allow you to enjoy the northern lights during winter. When accomodated at Hotel Geysir the entrance to the spa area is free.
River rafting - Golf - Fishing
The Geysir area has so many exciting things to offer! You are welcome to book excursions at the reception at Hotel Geysir or with us. E.g. an adventurous river rafting at the river Hvita near Gullfoss, a joyful day at the 9-hole golf course near the hotel or an exceptionel fishing experience in the local rivers surrounded by great nature.
The Helicopter Service of Iceland offers sightseeing tours from Geyser including Gullfoss Waterfall, the Langjökull Glacier and Laxárgljúfur Canyon. These 3 tours are standard and tailor-made tours are optional. Prices from ISK 39.0000 pr. person, based on minimum of 4 passengers.
This is the largest national forest in South Iceland nearby the Geysir area. An ideal place for hiking with marked paths especially designed for wheelchairs. Barbeque can be arranged for groups. The church in Haukardarlur is from 1842 and the oldest wooden church in the country.
